Integrating data, applying data quality rules, and creating a trustworthy master data view are particularly prominent and important. Therefore, Master Data Management is an inevitable trend in the development of the times and a necessary product.Master Data Management refers to a set of constraints and methods used to ensure the relevant subject areas and business systems within the enterprise.The real-time nature, integrity, and validity of master data. Separating master data from various operational and analytical application systems to make it a centralized core resource independent of other applications within the enterprise, thereby allowing the core information of the enterprise to be reused and ensuring the consistency, accuracy, and uniqueness of core data among various applications, including Master Data Management systems, master data standards, master data statistical analysis, and master data management specifications. Therefore, the main core functional points in work-in-process are model management, data maintenance, data quality, and data integration.Model management is primarily aimed at establishing a master data standard, creating a unique master data standard within the enterprise; data integration mainly targets the established data models, providing corresponding integration interfaces and distribution interfaces, with each business system loading and distributing data according to the interfaces; data quality involves the detection, merging, and other quality checks of the data that has already been loaded; data maintenance refers to the functions related to querying and maintaining the already loaded data at the data level.Through the above core functions, it is possible to manage the master data of all domains within the enterprise, while the product is core.Other requirements of the functionality also demonstrate other corresponding features, such as statistical analysis, system management, etc.1.2 Product ValueMaster Data Management (YonBIP MDM) helps enterprises create and maintain a single view of master data across the entire organization, ensuring that the IT systems of the enterprise coordinate and reuse accurate, consistent, and complete master data. Master Data Management consists of master data implementation methodologies and master data management tools. The master data implementation methodology helps enterprises establish unified master data standards and management systems from a management perspective, coordinating business between various organizational departments; the master data management tools assist enterprises in establishing a master data management platform from an IT perspective, creating and maintaining a single view of master data across the entire organization, ensuring the timeliness, accuracy, and shareability of data.1.3 Application ScenariosAs the enterprise grows and its history becomes more extensive, the internal systems become increasingly redundant. Most key business data is often scattered across different systems and processes in data silos. The dataset is large, and the business processes are complex and diverse, often requiring multiple applications to handle specific tasks. This makes it difficult to ensure data quality and to have a comprehensive understanding of the business situation. At this point, a Master Data Management system is needed to unify and integrate data from different systems within the enterprise, establish comprehensive and standardized data specifications, centrally process data, clarify data lineage, and allow the enterprise and its various systems to share a single set of data, providing deep insights into the patterns and trends behind the data.Many manufacturing enterprises have a wide variety of materials internally, and different departments within the enterprise have multiple names for the same material. To ensure internal consistency and facilitate unified management, it is necessary to standardize the data across different systems within the enterprise, making the data categories unique. At this point, a Master Data Management system is required to centrally maintain and manage the systems of various business departments, ensuring the uniqueness and comprehensiveness of the data.For this reason, the Master Data Management model generally has three modes.1.3.1 Scenario One: Shared Model1.3.1.1 Business OverviewThe enterprise positions master data in a shared system, maintains data in a specific business system, loads data into the master data system, and the master data system distributes the data to other systems. Most enterprises use this shared model.1.3.1.2 Business ProcessEstablish the model standards in the master data system, and any business system should load data according to the integration standard interface of this model. If data cleansing is required, data can be cleansed; if not needed, it can be directly distributed to the corresponding business system.1.3.2 Scenario Two: Transaction Mode1.3.2.1 Business OverviewWhen the enterprise's business is relatively large, the system is relatively old, and quite complex, the master data system will serve as the source, with data maintenance occurring in the master data system, distributing data to other business systems.1.3.2.2 Business ProcessIn the master data system, establish model standards. Historical data from other related business systems can be imported into the master data system via Excel for cleansing. The cleansed data is then distributed to the business systems. When new data is added, it is done in the master data system and then distributed to the business systems.1.3.3 Scenario Three: Hybrid Cloud Model1.3.3.1 Business OverviewThis section mainly targets supplier or customer data. The master data system can provide credit information, equity information, and risk information, as well as other social data for customers or suppliers within the enterprise. At this time, the basic information of customers or suppliers is provided by a certain business source system of the enterprise. After being integrated into the master data system, the master data will complete the remaining social data based on the enterprise number, for the needs of the enterprise, and then distribute all the data for use and reference by the business system.1.3.3.2 Business ProcessPull the cloud standard model in the master data system, import data from the business system according to the model integration standards. If data needs to be cleaned, perform master data cleansing. After cleansing, complete the data with cloud social data in one click.
